The OC5818 is a monolithic step-down switch-mode converter with built-in power MOSFETs. The OC5818 achieves a maximum output current of 2.5A over a wide input supply range of 6-30V and has excellent line voltage and load regulation.
The OC5818 operates in PWM current-mode mode where the loop is easy to stabilize and provides fast transient response.
The OC5818 has an external FS pin, which can be used to set the operating frequency by connecting an external resistor.
The OC5818 integrates protection features including cycle-by-cycle current limit and thermal shutdown.
The OC5818 is available in a SOP8 package with few external components.
