The OB6231 is a mono Class-D audio power amplifier with a built-in boost circuit with an externally adjustable output voltage amplitude. It can work in a wide range of 3-9V supply voltage, and supports single/double lithium battery power supply. The output power can support 16.5W continuous output (7.4V supply boost to 11V4Ω load) and the efficiency is up to 85%.

The integrated power supply over-voltage and under-voltage protection, on-chip over-temperature protection, power amplifier input DC protection, power amplifier output over-current protection and other functions make the OB6231 more safe and reliable in some abnormal situations. Over-temperature protection and over-current protection of power amplifier output have the function of self-recovery with real-time detection.
In the case of abnormal DC input of the power amplifier, the DC input protection of the power amplifier turns off the output until it is re-powered on to protect the speaker from damage.
The OB6231 is used in a TSSOP24 package, and the thermal pad at the bottom of the package needs to be reliably soldered to the PCB to effectively help dissipate heat.
