The OC5820 is a monolithic step-down switch-mode converter with built-in power MOSFETs. The OC5820 achieves a maximum output current of 2.5A over a wide input supply range of 6-40V and has excellent line voltage and load regulation.
The OC5820 operates in PWM current-mode mode with easy loop stabilization and fast transient response.
The OC5820 has an external FS pin, which can be used to set the operating frequency by connecting an external resistor.
The OC5820 integrates protection features including cycle-by-cycle current limit and thermal shutdown.
The OC5820 is available in a SOP8 package with few external components.
