OC5840

The OC5840 is a 3A highly integrated, high-efficiency synchronous rectification step-down converter with a wide input voltage range of 4.5V~35V. The OC5840 integrates a high-side 90mΩ MOSFET and a low-side 60mQ MOSFET.
The OC5840’s two modes of operation, fixed-frequency PWM peak current control and light-load PFM skip-cycle mode, allow the system to operate efficiently over a fairly wide range of output current loads.
The OC5840 has an adjustable soft-start time setting, which is achieved by an external SS capacitor. The operating frequency is set by an external RT to ground resistor.
The OC5840 is available in an ESOP8 package with few external components and a base heatsink grounded.
